If you would like to take up the sport seriously and possability enter formal tournaments and competitions we would recommend contacting Chippenham Archers or another local archery club listed in the GNAS or NFAS web sites above.

All our staff are practising archers with many years experience of both shooting and organising events. Safety is our utmost priority and this is reflected in our Health & Safety Policy and Risk Assessments we have in place and operate for special events. These are available for inspection upon request.
We use low powered fibreglass bows and rubber blunt flu-
We operate strict range safety and shooting in line with the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) policy and guidelines. The GNAS is the governing body for the sport of archery in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
So all of this adds up to it being safe for all ages and abilities.
Our staff have basic First Aid training and CRB clearance for complete peace of mind.
Outdoor events will go ahead whether it is cold, wet or sunny (more likely wet ), so please wear suitable clothing and footwear (no sandals please) for the day. Bring some waterproofs and wellies if you think it's going to pour down! A sun hat and cream if you believe it's going to be really hot (would be nice). Under severe weather conditions where safety of participants or others is at risk the event will be suspended until conditions improve otherwise the event may have to be cancelled.
For all indoor and outdoor activities loose clothing which may get caught in the path of the bow string should be avoided. For children long sleeved tops are recommended. Fleeces are best to keep you warm if it's going to be cold, rather than a big coat, and will not get in the way so much. Long hair should be tied back and all facial piercings & pendant earrings should be removed.
We offer a mobile service operating out of Chippenham, Wiltshire covering the town and surrounding area of North Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire, including Calne, Corsham and Melksham. We are willing to travel further afield so please contact us to discuss.
We have a few preferred indoor and outdoor venues in the Chippenham area that are available for us to use, subject to availability, that we use for our own events. If you have any preferences for location when you make your booking, please let us know.
We are currently on the lookout for a permanent indoor and outdoor facility in the Chippenham area, so if have something that might be suitable or you know somewhere that might be available, please let us know.

Amazing Archery reserves the right to refuse or stop any attendees from participating in an event if we consider the safety of any person is at risk.
By paying the fee all participants and/or the party/event organiser on behalf of all the participants agree to attend the safety briefing, agree to follow all safety instructions and range rules given at the event. They also confirm all attendees fitness and suitability to participate and must declare prior to the event any relevent existing injuries and/or relevent medical conditions including allergies and special food requirements.
It is the responsibility of the fee payer to make all members of their party, or the parent/guardians of minors attending, aware of these terms and conditions of sale.
What are the space requirements if I arrange this myself?
For your own arranged indoor venue for the children's activities we need to have a minimum of 6m x 8m clear and unobstructed floor space with min of 2.5m height clearance.
For outdoor group events we need to have a minimum of 20m x 10m clear and unobstructed space. The ground should be reasonably level with min of 4m height clearance. It is possible we can work with a smaller area, but would need to discuss with you further.
If in doubt please call us to discuss and if necessary we can arrange to come and view the location prior to booking.
If booking the venue yourself, it is up to you to make the owners aware that archery activities will be taking place and obtain any necessary approvals for the event. We can help and provide any of our Health & Safety, Risk Assessment or Insurance Policy documentation that may be requested. We have never had any problems ourselves with venues and they are normally very accommodating once you explain what is involved.
PLEASE ALLOW FOR US HAVING TO GAIN ACCESS AND SET UP 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE EVENT AND 30 MINUTES AFTERWARDS TO PACK UP.

Archery in schools can also support National Curriculum subjects such as Maths, History, English and Physical Education.
We are also available to support school fetes and other fund raising events, with no booking fee. Risk Assessments will be provided and locations/layouts submitted for your review and agreement.
Please contact us to discuss further the needs of your school or college.
